Hastings Chamber of Commerce June Members Meeting

The Hastings Chamber is hosting its June Members Meeting at The Bright Foundation’s Benbow Arts Space in St Leonards, focusing on the thriving film industry in the local area.

The Bright Foundation is an arts education charity founded by Academy Award-winning costume designer and philanthropist John Bright. It provides free, life-enhancing creative programmes for children and young people. Attendees will hear from CEO Polly Risbridger about the Foundation’s impactful work supporting youth through education and the arts.

The event will also feature guest speakers including:

• Julia Andrews-Clifford – Creative Director, Electric Palace Cinema

• Stella Landau – 1066 Country Film Office, Hastings Borough Council

• Louis Norton Selzer – Writer/Director/Editor

Together, they’ll explore the planning behind filming in 1066 Country, the world of independent film, and the behind-the-scenes aspects of film and television production.

The morning includes informal networking over breakfast, followed by talks and further opportunities to connect.
