Carpet remains an excellent choice for customers wanting warmth, comfort and a softer finish. Grimley Flooring supply and install carpets for bedrooms, lounges, stairs, landings and other suitable areas throughout the home.
Customers receive guidance on durability, stain resistance, appearance, comfort and maintenance, together with the appropriate underlay, grippers, door bars and finishing accessories.
Gluedown LVT provides a durable and highly customisable option for kitchens, hallways, dining rooms, living areas and other busy spaces. It is available in realistic wood and stone effects and can be fitted in straight, herringbone and decorative layouts.
Unlike click flooring, gluedown LVT is bonded to a professionally prepared subfloor. This makes the assessment and preparation of the surface beneath it especially important.
Sheet vinyl may be supplied and installed where it forms part of a larger flooring project or where the individual job is commercially viable. Grimley Flooring do not generally undertake small, standalone sheet-vinyl installations.
Fit-only work using flooring purchased elsewhere is also not generally offered, although selected flooring products may be available on a supply-only basis.

Uneven surfaces, excess moisture, movement and unsuitable preparation can all affect how a finished floor looks and how long it lasts. Some problems may not appear immediately, which is why the work beneath the finished flooring matters just as much as the visible surface.
Grimley Flooring take a preparation-first approach. Depending on the property and flooring selected, this may include uplifting existing flooring, inspecting the subfloor, moisture testing, installing flooring-grade plywood, applying smoothing compounds and preparing thresholds and doorways.
Furniture movement and the removal of old flooring and installation waste can also be included where agreed.
Preparation identified during the consultation is incorporated into the written quotation. If part of the subfloor cannot be inspected until the existing flooring has been removed, the possibility of further work is explained in advance.

Eligible supply-and-install projects include an installation warranty of up to three years, subject to Grimley Flooring’s terms and conditions.

Every commercial enquiry is assessed individually. Considerations include the flooring specification, size of the project, subfloor condition, site access, working restrictions, installation programme and the number of installers required.
As a small specialist business, Grimley Flooring will decline projects where the required timescale or labour cannot be supported properly.
For suitable projects, commercial clients receive the same careful assessment, preparation and professional approach provided to residential customers.
Independent domestic flooring inspections
Grimley Flooring also provide independent domestic flooring inspections where an existing floor has failed, developed problems or is not performing as expected.
Issues such as movement, lifting, bubbling, open joints, failed adhesion and premature wear can have several possible causes. These may include moisture, unsuitable preparation, installation errors, product problems or movement within the subfloor.
An inspection considers the visible evidence, relevant documentation, installation requirements and appropriate industry standards. The customer receives a written report explaining the findings and any limitations.
To protect the independence of this service, Grimley Flooring will not quote for or undertake remedial work for the inspected customer during the following 12 months.
The service does not include laboratory testing or court-compliant expert-witness reports.
